ok so not really. to be honest i haven't even read the books. i know, i'm lame. hey now though, i haven't even had time to update this blog or mop my floor lately. so what have we been up to? well, i've been busy getting fat. seriously jonas grew like a pound this week, no joke. everyone's been commenting on my likeness to a basketball lately. oh well, it's fun. and i only have just over 7 weeks to go so i guess it was only a matter of time till i started getting really tubby.
we've also been busy getting jonas' room all ready. we were at the mecca ikea a few weeks back and stumbled on a brown wall color we didn't hate from benjamin moore paints and decided that chocolate brown was the right color for out baby room walls. we also got lucky at home goods the other day and snagged the rug in the photos for a sweet price of 129 - unheard of price for a rug that size. if you didn't already know this, rugs are WAY over priced. (it's the polka-dotted rug you see the corner of in one photo). then that same shopping day at the local di we found the credenza for his room. with di shopping you have to sometimes look beyond what you see at first, and we fell in love with this seemingly piece of junk.
we are still in search of the perfect chair as well as the perfect crib frame we can modify into something slick. we also painted the hideous mirrored sliding closet doors with the chalkboard paint. they look lame right now, but i'm sure they'll look good soon.
on a side note, jon totally scored this magnetic 6x4 foot white board from work for free last week. we've been wanting to get something just like it to fill this goofy wall in our library. so we painted it with black chalkboard paint last night as well. it still needs to cure before we can write on it, but it looks super even as it is.

That chalkboard paint is awesome! I just came across some chalkboard vinyl that I'm pretty stoked about. Jonas' room looks awesome...how are you doing?
